MEET TRISTAN

Hi! I’m Tristan, the big kid with the camera behind Butterbomb. I love Lego, I love playing hide and seek, I love the imagination of children, and I love taking photos.

In my former life I was a geeky Computer programmer, and I still love all things technical and finding out they work. Now I’m a (usually silly) dad to three fun, cheeky, mischievous, and sometimes-frustrating-but-always-adorable girls. I love all sport, both playing and watching, and I would take a camping trip over a hotel stay any day of the week.

I am a big kid at heart, and I feel that it is so important to remember all the little things about your children before they grow up. The way they stick their tongue out at you, or the way they jump without their feet ever leaving the ground.

Jon Kabat-Zinn said it well: “The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little.”

Sharing time with families, watching how they interact and have fun together is a pretty awesome experience. Being able to see the connections in a photo and to see how you felt at the time is what I aim for; being able to document not just what you look like, but who you are.

Overall, I want to give you images that reflect the essence of your family; the feelings, the expressions, and the love.

MEET OUR GIRLS

Alyssa is seven and loves drawing, dancing, and any sport she plays. Alexis is five and loves to sing, play board games, and ride her bike. Amelie is one and is super cheeky! Our girls provide us with our inspiration and generally light up our lives.
