Goodbye 2012 and Hello 2013 | Yallingup Child Photography

We had planned on doing our New Year’s post yesterday, but unfortunately our homecoming on New Year’s Eve ended up being a bit crazy due to a rogue piece of reticulation in our front yard, an open window in our bedroom, and 10 days of warm weather.  Luckily it is all cleaned up now, although we still need to find some new flooring :)

Looking back 2012 was been a bit of a crazy year for us with Alyssa starting full time school, our first proper camping trip in four years, Tristan turning 30, renovations, and now a new baby on the way.  We are so grateful for the support of family, friends, and of course our gorgeous clients.

We have an exciting year ahead with lots of things to look forward to: We’re heading back to Esperance in a couple of weeks, Tristan is doing a fabulous photography workshop as soon as we get back – a Perth one this time which has made Monika very happy :)  Lexi is starting Kindy and Alyssa is heading to year One and then in May life will get a little crazy with the arrival of our newest family member.  We can’t wait!!

Our family received an origami kit for Christmas and we had a lot of fun creating paper craft while we were away down south.  When we asked the girls what sort of photos they wanted on our holiday they wanted to show you all our creations :)

Rainbow Cake | Perth Children Photographer

Gorgeous Hayley turned one a couple of months ago.

Most of the parents that we know tend to put a lot of effort into their child’s first birthday cake.  This is one that went above and beyond what we would consider a lot of effort – I think that her parents spent around 30 hours working on it!  Needless to say, it looked and tasted amazing :)

Alexis is definitely the girl with a sweet tooth in our family and, as you can see, she was in cake heaven.

Have you ever made an amazing cake for your kids?

A Few Announcements | Perth Children Photographer

Geez Butterbomb, you came home from your holiday like a month ago and we haven’t heard a peep from you, what’s going on?!?!

Well we have news; massive news!! We are going to be even more crowded in our house, with the arrival of our third child (yay!!) due next May :)

Butterbomb Baby 3 at 12 Week Scan

We are incredibly excited by this, however we must apologise for the lack of blog and Facebook posts recently.  This has been due to Monika feeling very under the weather with all day sickness (which has thankfully passed) and extreme fatigue (which unfortunately hasn’t).  The 2nd trimester is always the kindest so we are hoping to catch up on everything in the next couple of weeks.

Our holiday was amazing and seems like a lifetime ago now.  We spent some time in Gnaraloo, Cape Range National Park (Turquoise Bay we love you!), and checked out Coral Bay for a couple of nights on the way home.  The highlight for the girls was checking out all the coral in the Glass Bottom Boat and they loved spending heaps of time in the water :)  Do you have a favourite holiday spot in the north of the state?  Let us know in the comments below.

A few announcements

2012 Bookings

We are booked out until the end of the year, however we could squeeze in one more session in Yallingup in late December if you ask very nicely :) If you want to snap up this last session please contact us today.

2013 Bookings

All sessions from January onwards will be subject to our new price list and a minimum $500 print spend will apply to all sessions held in the new year.

Our business will be running as normal until the end of April, at which point we will only be taking very limited bookings.  From the middle/end of May to the start of July we will be taking a break from client sessions while we settle into a new routine as a family of five.  From July we will be back to taking limited bookings for a few months – we’re not sure how long this will be for at the moment but we will keep you posted :)

Studio Newborn Sessions

From January 1st we will no longer be doing studio newborn sessions for new clients (but will still offer lifestyle sessions).  Although we love cuddling squishy newborns we will have our hands full! We are happy to recommend some amazing studio newborn photographers so please contact us if you need any information :)

Holiday | Perth Children and Family Photographer

Butterbomb are away these school holidays.  After a mammoth packing effort yesterday (including the 5 hours Tristan spent “installing stuff” to his 4WD) we arrived in Padbury at 11pm last night.  Luckily the girls had been picked up earlier and were already tucked up in bed :)  We will be staying with Monika’s parents until tomorrow so that we can head to Market Girl today.

Tomorrow morning we are off to enjoy the sunshine up North.  If you are waiting for your online gallery please check your emails as they were all completed eariler in the week, and your order will be due at the start of Term 4.  All print orders will be ready in the first week of term 4.

Happy Holidays everyone :)
